About Me

            Dr. Son Hong Ho was born in Saigon, Vietnam, in 1971. He received his degree of Engineer in Mechanical Engineering with honors from the University of Technology, HCM city (Saigon), Vietnam, in 1995 followed by working there as a R&D Mechanical Engineer for 6 years. He immigrated to the United States in 2001 and became a naturalized citizen in 2007. He entered the Graduate program in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of South Florida (USF) in Fall 2002 and received his degrees of Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering (MSME) in Fall 2004 and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Fall 2007. Since 2003, he has been working as a Research Assistant at USF on several projects sponsored by NASA, NIH, and NSF. He has also been working as an independent contractor providing engineering services to some businesses in the Tampa Bay area.
